Charlotte, 332 W Bland St C, Charlotte, NC 28203, USA

About the event

What do you get when you mix political chaos, American history, live music, and Fireball shots? You get Drunk History of Gerrymandering—a live, unfiltered variety show starring Kate Compton Barr, founder of the Can’t Win Victory Fund, and hosted by the brilliant duo behind The Hometown Holler: Quinn Ray and Daniel Ayers.

This one-night-only event breaks down how gerrymandering has warped our democracy—through music, games, irreverent storytelling, and a few strong drinks.

The show includes:

  • 🎶 A live band onstage throughout the evening

  • 🗺 “Guess the District” audience game (with very real consequences for Kate’s liver)

  • 🎤 A surprise musical number about mapmaking (yes, really)
