Meet the people running anyway.

They’re teachers, parents, veterans, organizers, and neighbors who are running real campaigns in places most people ignore.

This year, we recruited and supported a slate of candidates across North Carolina, all running in deeply gerrymandered districts.

They’re not career politicians. They're people who looked at their district and thought: “Someone should run.” And then stepped up to do it.

Together, they’re proving that even in places we’re supposed to lose, Democrats will show up.

Meet a few of our awesome candidates.

This is where it started. The same district that launched the “Can’t Win” strategy is back on the ballot - and this time, Raygan Angel is running.

He’s 25. A law student. A Carolina native who’s been showing up in progressive politics, even serving as a surrogate for Justice Allison Riggs in a race that was decided by just 734 votes.

Raygan isn’t running because this race is easy.
He’s running because it’s not. Because this district was drawn to protect politicians, not voters.
